Chemistry Glassware Near me

There are many different kinds of glassware used in laboratories. Some of the more popular pieces that are still in use are listed here.

Beakers:Beakers are simple containers used to hold samples and reagents and are among the most popular forms of glassware used in laboratories.

Burettes:Used to dispense liquid in exact quantities.

Pipettes (Bulb and Graduated) – Used to move a small, measured amount of fluid.

Condensers:Condensers come in a variety of forms, but they are all usually made to heat or cool liquids.

Drying pistols:They carry out the same function as desiccators, but the pistol removes moisture more directly.

Funnels:Its tapered neck allows liquid to be precisely poured into a container with a small hole.

Glass Sampling Tubes:Sampling tubes are used to take small measurements of a liquid.

Graduated Cylinders – Very similar to a beaker but with volume measurements.

Petri dishes:Another popular item from people’s school days. They are spherical, extremely shallow dishes used for cell culture.

Slides – To view items under a microscope, items are placed between two glass slides.

Vacuum Manifolds:They are a frequently used tool in chemistry and are also referred to as Schlenk Lines. They are particularly helpful when working with substances that are sensitive to air.
